In-Flight Skin Rescue

Having only ventured on to a plane for the third time in my life this week I may not be the expert with it comes to all things flying, but one thing I do know is that it reeks havoc with my skin. On my first trip I donned a full face of make up not knowing that by the end of the flight and hours of recycled air later I'd want to pull my skin off it felt so awful. A lesson was sufficiently learnt and this time I came prepared.

August Favourites

August has drawn to a close in what seems like lightening speed so once again it's time to share with you my favourite products from the month. From a new ultimate shampoo/conditioner duo to a well loved oldie thats been given a revamp, see what I couldn't keep my hands off over the last four weeks below!

It's Your Prime - An Introduction to Smashbox

Smashbox is a brand I've always admired from afar, but having no counter to swatch colours and test textures I've never owned a great deal from them. All that's about to change however as recently the brand has been rolled out into larger Boots stores, making things a whole lot more accessible - oh how my bank balance weeps.

Mom Jeans

Another day, another item of floral clothing. I'm by no means a girly girl when it comes to style, but similarly with the trousers from my last fashion post I've been loving all things bright, flowery and printed. This bomber jacket* from She Inside is the perfect lightweight piece to throw on now it's getting a little colder and adds a bit of colour to an outfit, something I'm guilty of never wearing!

The Skin Recovery Facial

I've found myself taking a far more laid back approach when it comes to make up these days. No longer do I feel the need to be contoured, highlighted and lined to within an inch of my life and I've really been enjoying using minimal products for a simple everyday look. The same can't be said unfortunately for skincare.

My New Year's Eve Make Up

So it's that time of year again when the glitter and alcohol come out in equal parts as we ring in the New Year. I know this video is coming to you a little late but if there's anyone struggling for ideas hopefully you can get a some last minute inspiration from what I'll be wearing tonight. I hope everyone has an amazing time, whatever you might be up to and I'll see you all next year!

Christmas!

Happy Christmas everyone! I hope you've all had an amazing time and indulged as much as I have! I can't really motivate myself to do anything but sit around watching Christmas specials and eating more chocolate than any human being should! I've been such a lucky girl this year and I'm so grateful for all my amazing friends and family that have spoilt me far more than they should have. I know there's going to be lots of these kinds of posts but nosey me loves them so I'm sure some of you will too. I hope wherever you are you're having a great time and enjoy the rest of the holidays!

Peplum

Top: Zalando*
Trousers: Primark
Jacket: Influence @ New Look
Shoes: Zara
Bag: Marc B*
Watch: Daniel Wellington*

I finally jumped on the peplum bandwagon today after kindly being sent this top from Zalando (the other Asos) for a bit of last minute Christmas shopping. Although it's made of t-shirt material, its quite thick and snug, so it keeps it's shape well while being nice and cosy!

I can't actually believe it's only four days to go! Now that we've averted the end of the world anyway.. Anyone who works in retail should know that getting any time to shop, let alone enjoy Christmas is pretty much impossible, but luckily I've just about managed to get all my presents bought and wrapped. A quick word of advice though; don't wear heels while anywhere near a shopping centre in the month of December. No matter how beautiful they are, it will be traumatic.

I'm going to be spending the few days I have off at my parents house and I really can't wait. Even at 20 I still behave like an overexcited child at this time of year!

Christmas Wishlist

1, 2, 3, 4, 5

01. These Cath Kidston tins are so adorable, I think they'd be perfect for putting jewellery and make up bits in rather than stationary.

02. I've been loving all of Diptyque's scents for so long now, but still have yet to decided which my favourite is. I love the idea of this little travel set to try out the fragrances for before making the big purchase of a full sized perfume.

03. Another Diptyque item on the list! I think Pomander optimises the smell of all things Wintery and festive, perfect for this time of year.

04. I was so against iPads when they came out, but ever since buying one for Darren last Christmas (and 'borrowing' it rather frequently) I've really wanted one of my own! Since trying out the mini version in the Apple store I think it would be perfect for catching up with blogs and writing posts on the go.

05. I love the idea of anything that helps aid sleep as I never seem to be able to nod off no matter how tired I am. The Dream Team from This Works contains a soothing pillow spray and a concentrated roll on.

06. I've been desperately wanting this perfume for months now. It's the perfect spicy oriental kind of scent which I love wearing during the winter. Fingers crossed for this one!

What's on your Christmas list?
