Topshop, Asos & Missguided Haul

2/11/2015

Over the last few weeks I've been giving my wardrobe a bit of an overhaul and after accumulating quite a few new items - from basics to one rather large investment piece, a haul was definitely in order! February is always an awkward month for style. The weather is still bitterly cold making layers and thick knits a necessity but with Spring just around the corner it's hard not to find yourself yearning for bright colours, sheer materials and lighter coats. Today's haul is the best of both with Winter staples contributing to the bulk of my picks but a few warm weather appropriate pieces making an appearance too!

Wear It, Beat It

1/12/2015

Who else is surprised that I've actually incorporated a little bit of colour into my wardrobe for a change? Seeing as about 90% of the clothes I own are either black, white or grey, I thought it was about time to branch out into something other than monochrome. I've been eyeing this beautiful red coat from Warehouse for a while now and after spying it in the Asos January sale I had to snap one up for myself. It's the cosiest thing ever, perfectly oversized to fit a snug jumper underneath and when teamed with a black and white outfit (let's face it, I can only handle so much colour at once) I can't get enough of it!

This Week: Meet Up's & Halloumi Overload

1/11/2015

It's been a while since I did a proper This Week post - let's blame my inability to remember to pull out the camera whenever I'm actually doing something, or the fact that eating food usually takes priority over snapping it. Yesterday though was Suzie's Meet Up in the Brighton Topshop Personal Shopping Space and I tagged along for the day to say hello and managed to meet a handful of the sweetest girls for a good chat over mini cupcakes.

The Christmas Jumper | #ICovetChristmas

12/21/2014

It's no secret that I love a good Christmas jumper (just check the stash I have tucked away under my bed from the last five years) and when it comes to picking the right festive attire, it's usually the tackier the better. This December though I've gone down a completely different route with an understated grey number from H&M.

Three Winter Coats

12/08/2014

The Winter coat is probably my favourite item of clothing ever, but since finding 'The One' isn't always easy I've picked three different styles that cover all bases - the smart option, the throw on jacket and something warm and cosy. Put those all together with some chilly-weather appropriate outfits, a few awkward in-car changes and a very cold Saturday afternoon and you have three minutes of Winter wardrobe goodness!

Topshop, H&M; + Missguided Haul

10/14/2014

It's been a while since a fashion haul graced these parts, if I remember rightly there were definitely flowery dresses and shorts involved so I'm talking over a year ago.. Autumn really has hit this month, not only with the weather change that's had me dusting off the central heating controls for the first time since last October but the Autumn themed fashion in the shops right now that I just can't get enough of. Stripes and chunky knits seem to be a theme throughout but I've been adding a few pops of colour here and there with some item's from Missguided and H&M - who at the moment can do no wrong in my eyes. Plus, for those who manage to stick around until the end, I've got one big boyfriend jeans related dilemma that I'm calling on you for help with!

Last of the Summer Sun

10/08/2014

During a quick stroll down to the sea last week we managed to catch what I'm convinced was the last of the Summer sun - seeing as it's yet to make a reappearance, and took advantage of the light to snap some photos. Coincidentally I happened to match the background in this slouchy green check shirt from H&M that I've been living in most weekends (remind me to pick one up in every other colour) although it won't be long until the leaves start turning orange and Autumn is officially here! Ripped jeans and Birks have also been a staple in my wardrobe recently, although sadly I think it might be time to retire the sandals and switch back to boots after my toes started to get rather chilly on the walk home.

The Weekender

9/28/2014

After posting this on Instagram and getting a few questions here and there about what I was wearing, I thought I'd show you my general Sunday attire. Comfort of course is key as with the majority of my outfit choices these days (yup, Granny at 22) and a good pair of jeans are a must. I talked about the Asos Ridley's in my Style Favourites video and honestly, they just fit like a glove and with the amount of colours they come in your bound to find the pair for you. Teamed with a simple sheer white shirt from New Look and some tan peep toe flats from Primark which I seem to find a different variation of every Summer and you have my standard Sunday outfit.

Current Style Favourites

9/22/2014

Taking a step away front the normal beauty product chat, this week I thought I'd share some current favourites from my wardrobe. Now, I'm definitely not the most style orientated out there - I'll leave that to the fashion bloggers, but from time to time I do love a good Topshop raid, late night Asos order or a few hours immersed in the magical kingdom of Zara. I've kept it short and sweet with six of my fashion favourites, plus one as yet undecided upon purchase (let me know if it's a keeper!) and you'll probably notice quite the Autumnal theme running throughout, definitely my favourite season to dress for!

What's In My Bag: Backpack Edition

9/04/2014

What's In My Bag videos are without doubt my favourites to watch (call me nosey!) so when a new addition to my collection comes along I think it's only right that you should get to have a peak inside too! I've been eyeing up a leather look backpack after many a loving gaze through Pinterest at some serious effortlessly cool ladies sporting one, but considering I'm neither effortless nor cool I put it off for a long time until it came to planning for our recent trip to Belgium when I knew having both hands free would probably be a good idea. One rather lengthy Asos browse later I spied this little beauty from Warehouse and couldn't say no!

This Week: In Bruges

8/31/2014

Another week, another amazing city! I'm beginning to feel just slightly like a jet setter.. although eight hours on a coach and a rather woozy ferry ride didn't feel too luxurious at the time. A few little breaks that have been in the pipeline for a long time all seemed to have fallen within the same two months and honestly, I'm absolutely exhausted! Last year Darren organised a trip for us to see the Belgium F1 Grand Prix, which I have a sneaking suspicion was more for his benefit than mine, not that I was complaining when Jenson Button drove past us in a convertible - hands up who loves the JB ladies! Not only did we get to spend a few fun (although rather soggy) days at the track, we also got to explore Belgium itself a little.

This Week: Lily's & Leather Jackets

5/04/2014

Since this weekend has so far, fingers crossed, been sunny all the way through we decided to make the most of it yesterday with a trip around the country side. First port of call though, of course, was breakfast which we were ready for sometime around Midday - I've become a pro at lying in on a Saturday. We nipped into Lily's Tea and Coffee House in Wickham Square and if you're from the South I'd highly recommend a visit. From the decor to the plates they serve on everything is beautiful and the locally sourced food is so delicious I couldn't even whip my camera out in time before we'd eaten it all.

What's In My Bag: Zara Mini Office City

3/10/2014

A new bag can only mean one thing.. a video of me rummaging around in it, pulling out all sorts of unnecessary items that I've probably forgotten about - does anyone really need six different lip products? The bag itself is the Zara Office City Mini, the only purchase I made during the sale which er, actually happened to still be full price.

This Week #56

3/09/2014

This week the most perfect item of clothing came into my life. For almost a year I've been searching for a camel coloured coat which has turned out to be an almost impossible task. I was besotted with one from Whistles for a while but just couldn't talk myself into parting with so much money all at once. Then there was a H&M number that nearly became the one until ordering it online (and waiting almost a month for it to turn up - please sort out your shipping H&M) only to find it came almost down to my ankles.

Mom Jeans

8/27/2013
Jacket*: She Inside
Jeans & Cami: Topshop
Shoes: Zara
Necklace: River Island

Another day, another item of floral clothing. I'm by no means a girly girl when it comes to style, but similarly with the trousers from my last fashion post I've been loving all things bright, flowery and printed. This bomber jacket* from She Inside is the perfect lightweight piece to throw on now it's getting a little colder and adds a bit of colour to an outfit, something I'm guilty of never wearing!

A Floral Affair

8/02/2013
Shirt* & Trousers*: OASAP
Boots: Primark
Necklace: Topshop
Lipstick: MAC Impassioned

It's been quite some time since a fashion post appeared on I Covet Thee, but after being surprised to find out a few of you lovely people actually missed them, I dusted off my awkward posing skills and started snapping away. If you're an avid reader of my OOTDs you'll know that I'm usually pretty weather dependant when it comes to dressing, and todays outfit is no exception. England is experiencing some pretty mad weather at the moment, raging hot and sunny one moment, monsoons the next which makes for quite a challenge when getting ready in the morning.

New Look Summer Wishlist

6/23/2013
- Post in Association With New Look -

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

I'm pretty sure we can officially call it Summer now and even if the temperature outside isn't quite reflecting it yet there's nothing better to get yourself in a sunny mood than switching up your wardrobe and embracing some warm weather pieces.

Summer Highstreet Clothing Haul

6/10/2013

After a good few months of solely spending money on beauty products, skincare and cosmetics and yet complaining I had nothing to wear, I decided it was about time to forget the topsy turvy weather we're experiencing in England at the moment and set myself the task of finding some serious Summer pieces. See what I bought below!

Not Quite a Spring Skirt

5/17/2013
Jumper & Belt: Primark
Jacket: New Look
Skirt: Charity Shop
Boots: Topshop
Watch: Michael Kors

Hold the phone, whats that? A bare leg? Well a bare ankle at any rate. After a burst of Spring sunshine the Winter clothes were officially shelved and I'd started to hang some fancy florals and dare I even say the word.. shorts in my wardrobe. Unfortunately I must have jinxed it as were now back to grey skies and thick jumpers.

Aztec

Skirt* & Crop Top*: Mary Jane Fashion
Jacket: New Look
Boots & Bracelet: Topshop
Necklace: Asos
Watch: River Island
Lipstick: Topshop Beguiled

Today I braved a bare middrift, and immediately regretted it when it began snowing. Thank god for those trusty Primark Super Cost tights! I'm in love with this skirt from Mary Jane Fashion, the pattern, fit and length are all just right and I could see this making an appearance with a pair of sandals and a bandeau in the warmer months.
