The Midi Dress

3/08/2013
Dress: Primark
Jacket: New Look
Necklace: H&M
Boots: Topshop
Lips: Bourjois Rouge Edition in 10

I'm not usually one for a midi, nor am I really that into bodycon but I loved the style and the material of this long sleeve marl dress from Primark. It's quite thin and therefore very unforgiving I have to say, but with a good pair of tights to hold everything in it makes for a nice transition between a winter outfit and something for the warmer weather now we've got a bit more sun. I often wonder if I'm boring you with my endless Primarni outfits (and slight addiction) but it's pretty much the first place I seem to head these days!

New In My Wardrobe

Blue Jeans, White Shirt

2/21/2013

Coat, Jumper & Shirt: Primark
Jeans: Asos
Necklace: Topshop
Shoes: Primark
Lips: MAC Lady Danger

This outfit somehow subconsciously turned into an all blue affair, and with the addition of the stripy coat I feel a bit like a sailor. I do however love how easy this boyfriend style blazer is to wear, even if I don't quite think £20 is anywhere near a bargain when it comes to Primark (and in the sale too! Tut tut). I can definitely see this being thrown over summer dresses on warmer evenings rather than adding to a snowball of layers to try and keep myself warm. I'm also aware that jeans don't make for the most inspiring of looks, but I could honestly live in this pair from Asos. All I want to do right now is wear the warmest, comfiest things possible! If only it was acceptable to wear a onesie outside, life would be perfect. Oh a girl can dream..

Black, White & Orange

1/14/2013

Jumper: Primark
Skirt: Lashes of London*
Bralet: La Senza
Necklace: Urban Outfitters
Rings: Love Hearts & Crosses*
Lipstick: Louise Gray for Topshop Mexican Wave

I can't believe how sunny it was when I took these pictures yesterday, and now it's snowing across most of the country! I was kindly sent this pleated leather look skirt by Lashes of London a few weeks ago and have only just gotten round to baring the cold air (albeit it in tights) and wearing it. Flash back to last year when Primark's pleated leather skirt was all the rage, however hard it was to get hold of. I never managed to find one in my size but now I have this lovely little number which I actually prefer. It's made with a much lighter material and hurrah, no awkward elasticated waist band!

The Night Before The Morning After

1/01/2013

Top: Next
Leggings & Bag: Primark
Shoes: Topshop
Earrings: Primark

Happy New Year everyone! These are a few quick snaps of last night's outfit before the festivities kicked off. I can't even remember the last time I bought an item of clothing from Next, but in a mad last minute rush to find something (as always) this top caught my eye amongst the racks and racks of sale items. The Primark leather leggings had their second outing as well, despite still being unsure I can pull them off! I really think I'm just going to bite the bullet and purchase the AA Disco Pant's once and for all. Fingers crossed they pop up in a January sale!

Peplum

12/21/2012

Top: Zalando*
Trousers: Primark
Jacket: Influence @ New Look
Shoes: Zara
Bag: Marc B*
Watch: Daniel Wellington*

I finally jumped on the peplum bandwagon today after kindly being sent this top from Zalando (the other Asos) for a bit of last minute Christmas shopping. Although it's made of t-shirt material, its quite thick and snug, so it keeps it's shape well while being nice and cosy!

I can't actually believe it's only four days to go! Now that we've averted the end of the world anyway.. Anyone who works in retail should know that getting any time to shop, let alone enjoy Christmas is pretty much impossible, but luckily I've just about managed to get all my presents bought and wrapped. A quick word of advice though; don't wear heels while anywhere near a shopping centre in the month of December. No matter how beautiful they are, it will be traumatic.

I'm going to be spending the few days I have off at my parents house and I really can't wait. Even at 20 I still behave like an overexcited child at this time of year!

Glamorous Camo Jacket

12/09/2012

Jacket: Glamorous*
Jumper: River Island
Leggings: Oh My Love*
Necklace: Love Hearts & Crosses*
Shoes: Primark
Lipstick: Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain in Rendez-Vous

This is a bit of a generic Sunday shopping outfit where being comfy is all I really care about but I had to show you this jacket I was kindly sent by Glamourous. If you watched my last haul video you'll know I got something similar from Primark a few weeks ago but found it a bit too 'action man' style. After a few failed attempts at fading it I gave up and haven't really worn it since so I was super happy to receive this one (which I probably should have just bought in the first place). I love the studding detail it has on the shoulders too.

Today I attempted a bit of Christmas shopping, spent way too much in Primark as per, had a mooch around the German market and indulged in some serious Wagamamas. So glad there's finally one in Southampton to satisfy my noodle cravings!

Layers

11/08/2012

Dress: Topshop
Cardigan & Gloves: Primark
Jacket: Influence @ New Look
Necklace: Urban Outfitters
Hat: River Island Mens

What's this, an outfit post? It's been a while I know, but now it's getting dark so early a) there's never any light to take a good picture and b) at the moment my go to outfit is a onesie. Sometimes though, I do put normal clothes though recently I seem to be going for a strict uniform of baggy layers under this faux leather sleeve parka. Not the most thrilling of outfits but a cosy one. I also love that it's now acceptable to wear Christmas themed prints on woollen accessories.

Tube Dress

10/04/2012

Dress: American Apparel
Coat: New Look
Faux Fur Stole: Asos
Bag: eBay
Necklace: H&M;
Boots: Topshop

Seriously hate wearing my hair up but its so blurgh at the moment I just don't know what to do with it. I think I need a new colour more than anything. Seriously debating going down the Ombre route again but I keep getting the fear. I even bought these two bad boys for no particular reason and they're now staring at me from across the room wanting to be used.

Shallow hair dramz aside, this dress isn't really my usual style but it was a mere £7.50 in the Asos sale so I couldn't say no. I love the slit at the side. Makes me feel a little bit Angelina Jolie.

I've had a lot of questions about this bag from it flashing up in various instagram pictures. It's literally just a random one off eBay but for the price I paid I think its pretty good quality that'll do until I can get my hands on the real thing. Here's a link to the seller if you're interested.

This is actually the first time I've worn a big winter coat this year too. Real milestone right there. This New Look one is from last year but I still love it. Who can say no to a bit of tweed? I'll still probably have to buy myself another one this year and at the moment this Topshop one has caught my eye.

I'm Feeling Electric Tonight

9/26/2012

Jumper: Hearts & Bows
Shirt: Glamorous*
Skirt: Topshop
Boots: Topshop
Lipstick: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick

So much love for this jumper right now. It really is the perfect colour/fit/knit all wrapped up in one. This type of outfit has pretty much been my uniform for the last two weeks, the ever versitile black Topshop skirt with a shirt and jumper combo. This however is not just any old shirt. I was sent it out of the blue by Glamorous a while ago (who's clothing I can't get enough of at the moment) and it's so perfectly my style. No need to mention how amazing the collar detailing is, I only wish it was detachable so I could put it on everything!

I think the Allegra's are here to stay now. I was waiting for payday to buy myself the yearly pair of black boots, but after getting these out from under the bed and dusting them off I think I've fallen in love again. There are so so many cheap versions of these floating around eBay now I kind of wish I hadn't forked out the £70 or so for them last season. At least I know they're the real deal while I'm tottering about in them!

Feather Playsuit

9/18/2012

Playsuit: Motel*
Jacket: F&F; @ Tesco
Boots: River Island
Neckalce: H&M;
Lips: Miners The Matte Factor Warm Red*

The tights are back! I'm embracing AW to the fullest now after spending the last few days drooling over the new season collections that are showing at London Fashion Week right now. Super jel of everyone that got to go!

I was sent this playsuit by Motel a few weeks ago and it's swiftly becoming one of my favourite itmes of clothing at the minute. The print alone is amazing but I love the style of it as well. It almost looks like two separate pieces and the back has a gorgeous cut out, not that I think I'll be baring that in the coming months!

All Black

8/30/2012

Dress: Dorothy Perkins
Jacket: Clothing at Tesco
Socks: Topshop
Scarf: Vintage
Boots: Primark
Cuff: New Look

I didn't realise how much black I was wearing today until I took these photos! Reverting back to my teenage years again when everything I owned was either black or grey. Happy child!

I love the crochet (is that right?) on the shoulders of this dress. Not your average Dorothy Perkins find! I've also got really back into wearing a leather jacket. Such an easy thing to throw over any outfit.

Today I did some last minute shopping for Spain newt week. Believe it or not this will actually be my first proper holiday abroad and my first time on a plane. Yikes! It's quite weird buying summer clothes when the shops are already full of the autumn collections. Luckily though most if it was in the sale. Bikinis for a pound in Primark, hooray!

Think Pink

8/24/2012

Top & Belt: H&M;
Jacket: New Look (old)
Skirt: eBay
Shoes: Clothing at Tesco
Watch: Michael Kors MK5128
Nails: Essie Bikini So Teeny

I wore this outfit to dinner and a movie with Darren the other night. Went to see Ted which was funny but pretty much just like watching an hour and a half long episode of Family Guy.

Its been so hot at the moment, even in the evenings so trousers or tights are a no go but its still not quite that warm for bare legs. I bought this skirt from eBay for my holiday a while ago but never got round to wearing it. I've never actually gone for the maxi trend but I think its kind of growing on me now!

I had a browse of the new Essie collection in Boots this week and picked up a few colours. This is Bikini So Teeny which I think might be fast becoming the next Mint Candy Apple? Its a lovely slightly lilac pastel blue with the tiniest hint of shimmer running through it which you can only really make out in the bottle. When it comes to nails varnish I seem to be heading right for the Essie stand and no where else these days!

The Vintage White Tee

8/10/2012

Top: Charity Shop
Jeans: Primark
Necklace & Bracelets: Welsh Market Stalls
Watch: Michael Kors MK5128

Okay, so slapping the word 'Vintage' on something I found in a charity shop might sound a little pretentious, but "The Help the Aged White Tee" didn't quite have the same ring to it.

I used to root around in charity shops relentlessly when I was younger and ahem, slightly poorer. As much as I love the high street there's something exciting about finding a beautiful piece of clothing that you wouldn't necessarily see in the shops, for only a few pounds. This little white embroided number has the perfect loose fitting, light weight feel and it isn't even see through. Winner in my eyes.

Oldies

8/07/2012

Dress (under jumper): Topshop
Jumper & Boots: Asos
Necklace: forever 21

Yesterday we decided to go for a long drive to Tenby, the most adorable sea side town in Wales. I think I was going for comfort more than anything with this outfit. I've had this dress for absolutely ages now and shamefully have only worn it once. Its the perfect 'throw on' piece of clothing.

This jumper is a bit of an oldie too. You think with the amount of new clothes I buy every month I'd at least wear some of them right? I'm a bit sad actually becuase it was the most perfectly oversized-but-not-too-tent-looking jumper but its gradually shrunk and shrunk over the last month or so that I've had it and I think it might be time to send it on its way.

Eagle eyed viewers might notice that my hair is a little different in these photos. I've been trying out the Enrapture Totem Styler (which is currently half price here) for the last week and so far so good! I'll definitely be popping up a full review once I've thoroughly put it through it's paces but it's definitely turned my usually messy just-rolled-out-of-bed style into something a little more polished.
