The New Beauty Additions

This month like many others I've done a little splurging on beauty products and have a few new additions to welcome into the crowd. From some new spring cheek products to a heavy duty SPF and even a perfume I vowed never to purchase, here's what's made it into my shopping basket.

The New Healthy Mix

I'm pretty sure I could count on less than one hand the amount of lower end 'drugstore' foundations that I actually get along with. I'm no snob when it comes to make up but premium brands are always the ones I turn to with confidence for a flawless base.

This Week #44

01. Costa and Doughnuts for Breakfast | 02. If it were bookshops vs. beauty halls I'm pretty sure books would win every time | 03. A mini BB Surf Spray, adorable! | 04. Some seriously holographic heels in Next | 05. Daisy Cupcakes from

The Spring Edit: Nails

After nearly a week of consecutive sun (touch wood) I think we can safely say Spring has arrived! The beauty wardrobe deserves a seasonal revamp and the first port of call for me is always nails. Ten little fragments of colour that give noting but hope for warmer weather. The big dilemma however is pastels or brights? I've picked five of my favourites in each category that will definitely be adorning my nails over the coming weeks.

The Lip Crayon Roundup

The Lip Crayon seems to be the height of popularity at the moment with brands bringing them out left right and center. From the glossy to the matte, well pigmented to sheer formulas there seems to be one to suit every preference and in the absolute sea of these lip products I've picked out three of my favourites.

Holiday Buys

Leather Bag - €30/£24
Stoned Necklace - €10/£8
Snake Upper Arm Cuff - €5/£4
Turquoise Stone Bangle - €5/£4
Various Bracelets - €1.50/£1.20 each

Here are a few bits that I picked up from the market stalls in Menorca. There wasn't a lot in the shops that I liked but these things all caught my eye. If you're looking for cheap bracelets or tan leather bags it really was the place to go! There were thousands of different variations to choose from, it was actually a little overwhelming. I really wanted to get my hands on a pair of Abarcas which are the traditional Menorcan shoes but I just couldn't pick a colour there were so many!

Collar Tips

Collar Tips £3.99

I'm a bit late on the bandwagon here but I've been wanting to get my hands on a pair of collar tips for ages and saw these perfect ones on ebay the other day! I've been lusting after the majority of Zara's studed/tipped collar shirts at the moment and thought I'd try making my own. Probably still going to 'invest' in this gold studded one though as it's beautiful!

Sorry for the pretty sporadic/boring posting at the moment. Last week I did something very silly and bought myself an iMac and therefore have absolutely no money to buy anything that would be remotely interesting to you! Hopefully when that arrives and my bank account has recovered I should be back to unwisely splurging on everything and also making more videos to add to my poor little youtube channel that's been temporarily abandoned until I get myself a computer that I can actually edit properly on!

Stripes and Pleats

Top: Topshop
Skirt: Asos
Necklace: Pieces
Ring: Cath Kidston

This little black skirt from Asos is all I've been wearing this week. The perfect floaty, pleated alternative to a bodycon skirt. It's sinfully short though, so tights are a must. I can't help but feel like a school girl walking around in this..

Love my little Cath Kidston ring I got in the Asos sale too. I have too many cheep rings that always leave me with green fingers, so I've decided to start investing in some slightly higher end ones that should hopefully last a lot longer. If only I could afford something from Pamela Love.

Not much else to say other than I've been a terribly lazy blogger and I apologise! Also.. has anyone else notice how I seem to be getting more ginger by the day?

Fashionology Wishlist

A few things from my favorite jewellery brand on the planet, fashionology.nl, that I’ve been lusting after this evening. NEED that feather arm cuff to be in my life, asap.

This Week #05

01. My two favourite rings at the moment. Haven't left my fingers all week! The turquoise ring is from Covet and the cross is Asos.

02. I've lived next to a swanky looking Indian restaurant now for four months, and only just decided to eat there this week. Vegetable curry. Mmmm.

03. My poor little £7.00 Cosmopolitan that looked more like a shot than a real drink.

04. I stayed at my parents this week and was a bit devestated to find that I've been moved to the spare room now that my brothers taken over my old one. I love living away from home, but there’s nothing nicer than coming back to real food and a warm bed every now and then.

05. Really got back into nails recently. Managed to produce these rainbow leopard ones while catching up on Britain’s Next Top Model and shouting obscenities at Grace Woodwood. Multitasking like a pro.

PS. I'm going on holiday tomorrow!

Wishlist #04

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

001. I didn't know much about the brand Religion until I saw they're little section in the Oxford Street Topshop. It is a little pricey (£50 for a vest!), but I love the prints and the style of them. Plus this ones on sale!

002. I'm not a big trouser wearer, but I recently bought a pair of camel jeans from Primark and now I need more. So easy to wear and comfy! Love these wine red River Island ones.

003&004. My two favourites from the OPI Pirates collection, Skull and Glossbones & Mermaid's tears.

005. I always wear a little gold peace ring I got years ago from asos, but it’s starting to turn my finger green now so I'm thinking of investing in these little beauties from Net-a-Porter.

006. The obsession with Chelsea boots continues. I so desperately want these, but I know I'll feel guilty about spending another £40 when they're almost identical to the Topshop Allegra's. Ahh, what to do?

Summer Wishlist

Just a few things I've been drooling over after the sun decided to make an appearance this week. I’m really not feeling the whole colour blocking that seems to be taking over everywhere at the moment, I’ve never been a fan of in your face clashes. I think summer is all about mixing colours using prints and textures, and of course, the summer staple, a pair of cut off denim shorts. I absolutely adore these paint splattered ones. To me they look so cosmic. I’m thinking of digging out a few old pairs of jeans and going to town on them with a paint brush. Pair those with a sheer top and a lacy bralet and I’m in love. Another one of my favourite summer pairings is a slouchy tee tucked into a flowy skirt. I love all the midi styles around this year, but unfortunately they end up making me look like an 80 year old woman. Not so great. This Topshop one is the perfect length though, falling just above the knee.

I’ve also become obsessed with Aztec everything. Clothes, shoes, nails, you name it. I saw these adorable little beaded moccasins in H&M; a few weeks ago, but as always, they didn’t have my size. A UK 7 shouldn’t be too hard to find, surely? Is it just me, or does anyone else think H&M; could really do with investing a bit more in their footwear? I hate how they’re all dotted around the store (in my local one anyway), never more than two of each style, and always in ridiculously small sizes. Who even wears a size 3?!

This Morning

001. Despite having a million blushes, this is the only one I've been reaching for all week. I have such pale skin, especially in these yucky sunless times, and this one tends to keep my dolly cheeks on the DL.

002. Just recieved loads of beautiful new stock for my jewellery store COVET. Nothing quite beats a silver and turquoise ring.

003. Making my way through series 1-10 of Friends. The best £39 I've EVER spent by far. I saw the box set in asda the other day and it was back up to something ridiculous like £60!

004. Subway's white chocolate and macadamia nut cookie. Nothing you put in your mouth will ever compare to this.
